Halloween!!

Halloween is always a blast. We had lots of parties and fun treats. We had our annual Carter party, Activity Day girls had a party for all their siblings, Chloe and Logan were invited to a friend's Halloween party, school parties and then our party at home. Now we are loaded with a ton of treats at home that are constantly calling for me to eat them. Yikes - I need to have self control. Especially from all the yummy chocolate. Here are our costumes and pictures of Halloween:

Trick or Treating at the Retirement Center

and at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so much fun seeing the kids run from house to house. Jensen was very distressed when his bag was getting to heavy and we poured his treats in another bag for Jeff to carry. He kept begging for his treats back and was very upset that his bag was empty. When he started getting more treats he was much happier. Chelsa did a couple of face plants and had some tears. Overall - the kids had a great time.

Decorating and sewing for Halloween

I really love Halloween and look forward to it every year. Jensen really wanted to be Diego and you cannot find that costume anywhere. So I put it together and sewed him a rescue pack and a label for his vest. He was so excited when he put the costume on. He was running around the house pretending to be Diego. Jensen doesn't prenounce the D on Diego so it sounds like Eggo. So when people were asking him what he wanted to be for Halloween he would say "Eggo" They would think it was the Eggo you eat for Breakfast and not Diego! Pretty cute.

Here is the costume I made and put together

I got some new decorations this year and even made a cute wreath for our door.

I spray painted some sticks black to make a spooky tree.

Highlights

I thought I would highlight some of the things I have missed posting on my blog, since I'm a bit (yikes) behind.


Chelsa's 4th Birthday

She had a dance party and this is where we are stretching

Shortly after girls camp and Eden's baptism, I had surgery. This was taken from Jeff's phone. Thanks to everyone for such love and support through this time.

In September - Jeff took the boys to Man's Camp in our ward. Jensen had a bit of a harder time and missed me during the night. But overall they had a blast!

Spiritual High

At the end of May, Jeff and I had the privilege of joining the Angevines in going through the temple for their first time. I was very honored to be Kristie's escort, which I really enjoyed. It was such a special day for them and to see their family together in the sealing room is something I will never forget. What a spirtual experience to see a wonderful family being sealed together for eternity. I felt the spirit so strong, and it just confirmed my testimony even stronger on the importance of the temple, priesthood power and eternal families. I feel so blest that Jeff and I had that opportunity.
