First Piano Recital

Chloe had her very first piano rectial tonight. I loved every minute of it!! Chloe did a great job - I must say she was the cutest one :). She is loving piano and is doing very well. Here are her pieces.

Chloe's New Room

Just recently we moved Chloe downstairs into the spare room. I re-did the whole room and now I have to say it is my most favorite room in the house (I wish I could have it!). Chelsa has Chloe's old bed and is so excited to be in a big girl bed. Every morning she pulls Jeff or I into her room to show us her new bed. It has been a good move for the girls. Chelsa was often waking Chloe up and making mess after mess!! Chloe is excited to have her own room with no mess!! Here are some pictures.

Quite the Accomplishment

Chloe and Logan, through music, learned all the 13 Articles of Faith. Thanks Laurette for the idea! After they learned all the Articles of Faith we took them to Marble Slab for an icecream. They were so excited!! It was a treat for the parents as well. Good job kids learning them all.

Lucky Number Seven

Chloe is now seven! She had a fun family party on her actual day and the following weekend she had a pajama party with her friends. She loved every minute of it!! Here are some pictures:

She requested meringues instead of a birthday cake - Jeff was so excited about that!




We pulled out the king size mattress and put in on the floor in the family room - for the friend party. They had a big pillow fight on it and watched the new tinkerbell movie.

The faires they made - Logan's is the boy fairy. He told me that night that he wanted to be in a different family because this one had to many girls. (I reminded him that this was a girl's party and that is why there was more girls in our house!!)

Spooktacular Fun

Boy do I love Halloween!! We had a great time. I loved watching my kids at school perform and showing off their costumes. I loved carving pumpkins and eating the seeds - mmmmmmm. And of course the excitement of getting dressed up and trick or treating (and watching my kids have a great time). Jensen was hilarious. He was Frankenstein this year and it was perfect for him. He walks all wobbly with his arms out in front! Chelsa really got into the trick or treating part and was trying so hard to keep up with her older brother and sister. Jensen had a bucket that was getting so full that kept making him fall down. Every time I tried to hold it for him he would scream. He had a death grip on that bucket. He would watch with amazement as the candy would fall into his bucket (no wonder he didn't want to give it up!). It started out being a great evening, and then it got pretty cold. So we didn't stay out to long.

On Friday night our stake had a Halloween Party at the church with so many fun things to do; bouncers, slides, a witch’s house, a haunted house and great treats. My kids had a blast. What a fun evening. So we had two days of celebrating Halloween!! What a fun holiday.

Jensen is Walking

Jensen is offically walking. He is still a bit wobbley, but pretty good!! He looks so cute. He started taking his first steps in September. Jensen is following his big brother's footsteps. Logan first started walking when he was 13 months as well.

10 years

On August 27th, Jeff and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary. I was reminiscing our wedding day and it almost felt like just yesterday that we were married. How our life is so much more enriched since that date. We have grown and learned a lot together as a couple. We have four wonderful children and my love for Jeff has gotten deeper each year. I feel so blessed to have such a great husband.

Our Anniversary was on a Thursday, so we decided to celebrate on the Friday. My good friends Megan and Gillian, offered to take our kids for the evening for a sleepover (our kids were so excited). Thanks so much!! Jeff booked a reservation at Bolero's - a fancy resaurant with all you can eat salad bar and meat! My type of restaurant. Then Jeff surprised me by taking me to the mall and letting me pick out an anniversary ring. I had to pick one that night and I happened to find one that already fit my finger. And I love it!! We then went to G.I. Joe the movie. It was so much fun to be with just Jeff. The next morning we got to sleep in and then we headed out to Cora's for Breakfast. Mmmmmm........ so good. What a yummy breakfast. I had a crepe with eggs, ham and cheese with tons of fruit on the side. What a fun, fun date!!! Thanks again Gillian and Megan for taking our kids. We had a blast!

Jensen's Wiggle Dance

Lately Jensen has been doing the funniest wiggle dance when we turn on music. The video isn't very long - but still pretty cute. He enjoys watching Chelsa dance and joins in himself.

Ok so in this video you can see how Chelsa teases Jensen. Just the look in her eye, you know that she is up to something. He gets mad and does a bit of a scream. Then she shows him a toy then takes it away. She is quite the girl!

Jensen is One!

On August 26 - Jensen turned one! I know crazy - our baby is one. He is growing so fast. Some things he doing right now:

He loves his food and gets excited by trilling his hands and feet
He says Ma ma ma and looks for me
He has taken three steps
He screams when he wants something or your attention (sometimes very loudly)
He squints his eyes and smiles big at you
He waves hi to everyone
He likes to throw balls in the kitchen and then chase after it
When he is excited to see you he crawls really fast, with his head down panting – so cute
He laughs and laughs at Chelsa
When music is turned on he starts wiggling and dancing
He gives big slobbery kisses
He is on whole milk!! (yay no more liquid gold aka formula)
He is a joy and we love him to pieces.

He is the only one of all my kids that dug right into the cake. He sure thought it was great!

Ok I know you are all wondering - no he didn't get that bottle for his birthday, but I think he has that mischievous look in his eye because he just took it from Chelsa. He is such a fun boy!

Logan

On August 21st our Logan turned five! We celebrated basically the whole weekend. On Friday we went to a fun spray park with some friends and Chels. Afterwards picked up some subway and headed to the lake for a picnic. We stayed there most of the afternoon. For dinner Logan requested pancakes, sausage, and tomatoes! We had birthday cake and opened presents. Saturday we had a friend party for him at the Lake. The family in Calgary were there as well. Thanks so much Carters - we love Sundance Lake. We had a fun hot dog lunch with birthday cake. We played games with water balloons and the kids enjoyed playing in the sand and water. What a perfect day it was!!

Logan is quite the guy! He brings us a lot of joy. He says the funniest things and just loves life. He is so friendly and is very caring and thoughtful. He is quick to give compliments and is very good with remembering details. He sure knows how to make me feel better with a quick - Mom you are the best and I sure love you. I just love you Logan - your hugs and smiles just melt me. Life just wouldn't be the same without you!! We love you.

The Cardston Parade

We just had a fun weekend in Cardston! On Saturday, August 8th, was the Cardston Parade. Jeff's Grandpa was the Parade Marshall. He rode on horseback right in the front to start things off. It was pretty cool to see him! We all cheered for him as he rode by. The kids loved the parade - probably because they came home with a bag full of candy each! We might have to make this a tradition! Jeff's parents came from Utah and it was fun to see them. We had a great time visiting with family from the Malmberg side and the Romeril side. Brittney (Jeff's sister) was also in Cardston that day visiting family on her husbands side so we were able to see her. It was great to visit and see her daughter Rachel. In the evening we watched the fireworks from Uncle Brent's backyard. We stayed at Jeff's grandparents house - thanks for having us (we are a big group)! My kids loved your house. They still are talking about it! On Sunday, we went to church in Cardston then headed back home. Melanie and Clark joined us later in the evening.

Daycation

At the end of July Jeff took some time off work so we could have a little family vacation - well more of a daycation. We stuck close to home, mainly because that works the best for our family right now. We had fun food, a different breakfast everyday and no chores!

The first day was our camping day. We went to Sheep River Falls, in the Kananaskis. When we got there we started hiking towards the falls and then it started raining. Jeff and Chelsa turned back and headed back to the van. I really wanted to see the falls so with Jensen on my back and Chloe and Logan following me we headed on. Then it just started pouring - we had no choice we had to turn around. We decided to eat lunch in the van and see if the rain would stop. It didn't look promising. We decided as a family to say a prayer to ask if the rain would stop so we could see the falls. Right after we finished lunch we got out of the van and sure enough it stopped raining. Logan out loud, arms outstretched (in front of everyone) said "Heavenly Father answered our prayer". I couldn't help but smile - it was a pretty neat experience. We were all able to hike to the falls and enjoy the scenery.

When we got home we set up a tent in the backyard. We had hotdogs for dinner with smores for dessert. Jeff and the two older ones slept in the tent. They had a great time.





Our second day we ventured to Drumheller and went to the Tyrell Museum. We went to the top of the biggest Dinosaur in the world and then had a yummy picnic. Shortly after that we went t0 the Tyrell Museum. Another fun day!

Our third day we stuck around Calgary and went to Chuckecheese and played games. In the morning while we were getting ready, I looked outside the window to see firemen checking the fire hydrant on our lawn. Well the kids got to sit in the firetruck and look at all the equipment. It was pretty neat!

Saturday and Sunday we went to Edmonton. On Saturday we walked around West Edmonton Mall looking at everything. Later in the afternoon we checked into our hotel and played in the waterpark for the rest of the afternoon. We went to Boston pizza for dinner and then all headed back to our hotel to go to bed. Sunday morning at 9:00 we went to Church at the chapel right by the Temple. After church we had the privilage of walking around the temple. Jack Holt the Temple president was there and opened the gates for us. It was so beautiful and that really was a highlight for me. Chelsa kept pointing to Moroni saying "guy". It was pretty cute! We came back home after that.

Monday was the last day of our daycation and we joined the families in Calgary, the Utah Carters, and the Woodwards on a hike to Troll Falls. It was another nice day and always fun to be out in the mountains.
