Merry Christmas

Don't you just love Christmas!! We had a great Christmas!! We hope all you had fun as well. Christmas morning couldn't come fast enough in our house. My kids were so excited!! On the 23rd we had our traditional fondue dinner and then sleeping under the tree. Jeff suddenly got sick that day and was feeling pretty miserable. He had a bit of dinner, but afterwards was regretting it. I sure felt bad that he was so sick. On the 24th he still wasn't feeling himself. He went to work anyways and came home early in the afternoon. We had a great turkey dinner at Grandma's house in the evening and it was so yummy! I love the stuffed mushrooms. It was followed by the program. Chloe and Logan sang two songs that they had sung in primary for the Christmas Sacrament presentation. They were all smiles that night going to bed. Chloe wrote a note to Santa and they left a treat for him on the fireplace. Christmas morning I was the first one up. That was very surprising to me because my early bird Logan (usually gets up at 6:00) was still sleeping. We all headed downstairs around 7:30. The kids reactions were great. Chelsa was loving the treats and was scavenging any she could find. She didn't know how to take off the tin foil wrapping on the Hersey kisses so we would find her with them in her mouth tinfoil and all! She loved holding all her toys. She had a lot to carry but she would pick them all up! Jensen was just busy smiling at us in his bouncy chair. Chloe and Logan were super excited by everything they got. Here are some pictures:

Fantastic Four

Jeff and I really do think we have four fantastic kids! Grandma asked Logan the other day if he had a hat to put on before going outside - he said I'm ok (while touching his head) because I have my hair!! We all started laughing. Here are some pictures of them.

Chelsa got ahold of Jensen's hat and was pretty proud of herself!

This is Jensen's new thing - blowing bubbles

Temple Grounds

On Saturday we had the opportunity to go to Rocky Ridge where the Calgary Temple is going to be built. It was pretty exciting to see the place where our Temple is going to be built!! You can see the church on the hill when you drive up, so it will look spectacular with the temple there as well. The view is just beautiful standing where it is going to be. I'm sure looking forward to going to this Temple.

Birthday Fun

On the 18th is was Jeff's birthday. Logan asked how old he was turning and I told him and he said - "Mom he must be a grandpa now". I made Jeff scones for dinner and angel food cake for dessert. All sweet stuff!! He got a nerf gun from the kids- fully automatic. It has 100 nerf bullets and he and Logan have been having a great time. He also got night vision goggles from me and have been roaming around the house in the dark testing it out. He was very pleased with everything!! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. He had a great day. On Friday he took the day off and we went to a matinee - "The Day the Earth Stood Still". It was pretty good. Then we went to Pang Pangs for dinner. Yummy. Thanks to my good friend who took my kids. It sure was fun!

Chloe's Christmas Concert

Chloe just had her Christmas Concert at school on the 17th. She did a great job!! She sure was excited to sing and be apart of everything. She sang two songs "Who's up there? and First Footprints". At the end all the school sang a song together.

Survivor Finale

Who's going to win the million dollars? My favourites are Bob and Sugar. I think Kenny is feeling a bit scared at this moment. Any guesses? I'm excited to watch it have some yummy popcorn.

Illness Woes

This week both Chelsa and Jensen have been sick. Chelsa had a fever for about three days. She had a hard time sleeping at night and was pretty miserable during the day. Jensen's fever only lasted one day, but now he is a bit stuffed up and has been coughing a bit. It feels like with little ones someone is always sick. Thank goodness we live in a nice warm home. Today was Chelsa's first official day of Nursery!! Because she wasn't feeling so well she wasn't in there to long and wanted to be with us. Maybe next week will be more fun for her.

Wish List

This is what Chloe would like for Christmas:

This is what Logan wants

Hi

Writing letters to Santa

We had fun this week writing letters to Santa. My kids are getting pretty excited about Christmas. They love putting their stickers on the tree and eating their chocolates every day. Chelsa sure enjoys putting a sticker on the tree and gets a big smile every time she does it. Here are some pictures of their letters.

Let it Snow....

It is snowing like crazy today. It's that heavy wet snow that makes everything look so pretty. I love looking outside at the white world. Here's a picture of our street. You can see Mom and Dad's house.

Loganisms

In the summer my sisters would always laugh at the things Logan would say. So they nicked named the funny things he says "Loganisms". In the summer Logan's cousins at Calaway park were putting up the peace sign and saying "Peace". I could see Logan concentrating on this for a while, while on the boat ride, looking at his fingers. After a little bit of concentration he put up his two fingers close together, not apart, and said as loud as he could "Pizza". We all started laughing and thought it was the funniest thing. That whole day it was the joke for the day to say Pizza while doing the peace sign.

Today we were playing a game that you need to use your memory. Chloe got the card she needed and I said good job Chloe did you guess? Jeff said, she found it because of deductive reasoning. Logan pipes in "She put her guts on it"!! We just all burst out laughing. I guess he meant to say she was going by her gut feeling.

After the game was over Jeff says hey kids we can play Jenga later. Logan looks questionably "What is Jengalater?" Jeff repeats, Jenga later. Logan "What is Jengalater." Jeff catches on, and says it very slowly pronouncing every would clearly Jenga, later.

My friend took Logan to preschool for me one day and she wrote me this email: "We got there and the doors weren't open so we were waiting right by the top of the stairs. Logan was going back and forth between standing by the door and then going to the top of the stairs and greeting all who came in. This lady came in a with a cup of coffee. As she's climbing the stairs Logan says to her. "Hi! You shouldn't drink coffee, it's bad for you." I tried desperately to suppress a laugh at the look on this lady's face. She replies "yes, you're probably right, it's probably not good for me." To which Logan says "Yeah, it makes your lungs black!" then turns and walks back to the door they were just opening with a "bye!" before he headed in. My kids and I laughed the whole way home about what he said! He's such a funny kid!!"

A little while ago Jeff was fixing something in the basement and when it was fixed he put up his arms and said "I'm a Genius" Logan says "Dad your a Genie".

Logan was working on something and it didn't work right - he looks at us and says "I broke my genius".

At Thanksgiving Logan told me he was excited for "Foodsgiving".

One day Jeff was delivering a couch to our friends the Walburgers. Logan looks at me and says, "when is Daddy getting back from the Cheeseburgers".

Logan: "Hey mom did you know that Jensen has his own cartoon" Jeff just showed them "The Jetsons" on the computer.

Thanks Logan for all the laughs!
