Fun Weekend

Friday night my friend Megan invited us over for American Thanksgiving dinner. Wow what a yummy meal - turkey, potatoes, stuffing, beans, peas, salad, buns, frozen pumpkin cheese cake, and a chocolate cake. It was such a fun evening and I felt very thankful for such great friends! Thanks for having us over - you are the best!! Saturday night was our Ward Christmas Party. It was fun to have dinner, sing Christmas songs and watch the Nativity Pagent. Chloe was one of the angels with her friend Emberly. She was pretty excited to dress up. Mom sang in the choir and did a great job. It was fun to have another evening out!

Christmas Decorating

We had a fun weekend decorating for Christmas. Our tree is even up - before December 1st! We had fun listening to Christmas music and pulling out all the decorations. Chelsa was pretty funny trying to put the balls on the tree. She would go over to the branch with the ball and then let go. It would, of course, fall on the ground. She didn't really understand why her ball wasn't staying like Chloe and Logan's were. She just kept trying. After a while she gave up and starting taking off the ones that were on. It will be fun to see her opening presents Christmas morning! I love this time of year and feel very blessed to have such a great family to share it with!!

I love all the lights. Jeff did a great job.

Kid Update

So I thought I would write a quick update on each of my kids and let you know what is happening with them.

Chloe:
She just got her first report card for Grade one and she did great. She is really enjoying learning how to read. Her teacher Ms. Chan said that Chloe shows a strong desire to learn and to be successful. I can totally see this. She is always busy at home writing, coloring and trying to figure out how to sound out words. Chelsa likes to follow her around and copy everything Chloe is doing.

Chloe is such a good help to me. She is such a great problem solver when problems arise with sharing and toy stealing! She is an affectionate little girl and is always telling me that I'm the best mom.

Logan:
Logan is full of life. He is enjoying pre-school two days a week and is getting excited to go to kindergarten next year. He is a big tease and enjoys teasing Chelsa. I here a lot of screaming (from Chelsa) and laughing (from Logan) during the day. He thinks it is pretty funny to get a reaction out of her. She holds her own pretty good and has a good death grip on what she is holding.

The other day Logan was in Grandma's car and said Grandma I love you.
Grandma: I love you too Logan
Logan: I love my self too

Chloe, Logan and I were talking about change at the kitchen table and Logan looks at us and says:
Hey guys this is so weird, my body has changed, it doesn't like tickles any more.
Chloe and I just started laughing.

Logan sure makes life interesting!

Chelsa:
She has such a fun little personality. She is always busy. She lines up all her stuffed animals and dolls in a row and then covers them with blankets. She dances around the room whenever music comes on. She likes making little messes in every room in the house. She pulls out all of her clothes and Chloe's clothes out of the dressers and then puts them all over the house. She's a little jokester and thinks its pretty funny to try and give you something, like a toy, then run away laughing when she doesn't give it to you. She just recently has learned to climb up on everything - the couch, the kids table with the computer, kitchen chairs - so I have to be extra careful in watching her now. I don't want any more broken bones. She just loves giving hugs and has the cutest smile. She can always put a smile on my face!

Jensen:
What a good baby he is. He sure is happy and content. I love his cooing and his laugh. He loves watching his brothers and sisters. He just loves them and smiles like crazy. He will be getting his immunization shots tomorrow so we will find out how much he weighs. He is a big boy and has some big chubby cheeks. What a joy he is.

Twilight Premier

Woohoo!! What a blast to go to a premier and feel like a teenager again!! Mom, Chels, Martha, Gillian, Megan and I went Friday night to the 10:00 pm showing. I was so looking forward to it all day and couldn't keep the smile off my face. When the movie started I gave a little cheer!! When we got there at 9:00 pm there already was a huge line just to get into our seats. We were a bit worried that we wouldn't be able to sit together - but we did on the fourth or fifth row (just perfect right Martha!!) Perfect enough to see all the details!! Some of my favourite scenes were the baseball part, the prom at the end and of course the cool cars. Wouldn't it be fun to be a vampire and have all those nice cars? I would love to drive that silver volvo super fast!! Not to mention being very strong and being able to climb up trees!! The meadow scene, to me, was better in the book . But overall it was pretty good. Anyways it was a very fun evening and fun to be with everyone that came!!

Fun Times

Jeff and I got to go out Friday and Saturday night this past weekend. This has been the first time since Jensen was born. Josh babysat for us on Friday (thanks Josh) and the kids had a blast. They were so excited to play the Wii with their cousin. We had a great meal at the Keg - sooooooooooooo good!! And on Saturday was Jeff's work Christmas party (I know I thought it was early too). Thanks Mom for babysitting! We went to the Telus Convention Center downtown. The room we were in had these huge windows that overlooked City Hall that had beautiful trees lit up. Such a nice view. Plus the decorations were so nice and the meal was great!! Earlier that day I got my hair done which is always fun. It was nice to feel pampered and have such a fun weekend with my hubby.

It was great!!

Yesterday was our Primary Sacrament Presentation. What a great day to be a parent. I felt so much love looking up at my kids and seeing them give their parts and singing along. They both did a great job. Logan liked adding cha cha cha at the end of his songs and told Brother Gordie Payne that he was great. So yes Logan you and Chloe were great!! It was great!!
